One thing I will NEVER allow anyone to do is make me feel LESS African because they cant get over being called an African Booty Scratcher in 3rd Grade. Get TF OVER IT!!! Reposted from @swarthydjedi89 - Refer to my last post! Read my caption Please and Thankh you! White people can "BE" African, do the dances, learn the culture and immerse themselves into it, but we, who are of actual African ancestry, can't? Riddle me that shit! We have a #TRILLION miles to go as a global people! A little origin on the word #Akata: Akata doesn't mean the word slave, wild, stupid, ignorant or "n" word. The origin of the word means "wtoild cat". So originally you are not being called a cat, wild or an animal. Thungs can get lost in translation and in ignorance too. It means you're an African that isn't from (or stayed in) Africa. Akata is a word of the #YORUBA language in Nigeria, but it seems Nigerians who aren't even Yoruba use the word, as well as other West Africans, often in a derogatory sense. Lastly, out of all the slave systems, and places enslaved Africans were sent: Cuba, the Caribbean, South America, Canada, etc., The U.S.A was the ONLY place where we didn't get to practice ANY of our African culture. It was COMPLETELY stripped from us! For example, in South America and in the West Indies, the slave masters did not outlaw the Afrikan drum, Afrikan ornamentations, Afrikan religion, or other things dear to the Afrikan, remembered from his former way of life. This permitted a form of cultural continuity among the slaves in the West Indies, Cuba, and South America that didn't exist in the USA! Therefore, our cultural awareness is going to be lacking as "Akata". Willful ignorance amongst our so-called more educated sisters and brothers πŸ˜‘ #alkebulan #kwameture #afrikanunity #assatashakur #revolutionary #harriettubman #supportblackbusinesses #hueman #eradicateslavery #blackempowerment #toussaintlouverture #freemumiaabujamal #blackhistoryeveryday #proweapon #protection #alkebulanfamily #africanspirituality #fivepercenter #nationofgodsandearths #readabook #african #hiphop #hotep #africandiaspora #knowledgeofself #nigeria #westafrica

We place value in things and people who bring no growth or real value in an constructive manner. Yet we continue to chase. To either show off or prove a point to other black people who in many cases are doing the same thing. If you’re a man, you take it.” -Malcolm X blessed Earthday to one of my revolutionary hero’s so deeply inspired by his principles and teachings and his militant stance against white supremacy and fighting for unity amongst our people because he knew in unity we would have the economic power and strength to SEPARATE and do for ourselves and eachother without the influences of these devils and to me most importantly protecting and uplifting the black/Afrikan wombman because without our wombmen we’d be lost he’s still ahead of his time R.ise I.n P.ower el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz The Honorable Malcom X #blackunity #blacklove #afrikanunity #revolutionary #blackswillrise #afrikanswillrise #blacknationalism #AfrikanLiberation #BlackLiberation #AfrikaForAfrikans #DeathToOurOppressors #BlackPower #rbg #panafrikan #nyahbinghi #BlackEmpowerment #problack #blackfirst #proafrikan #blackwombmanisgod #afrikanwombmanisgod #blackshavenofriends #weallwegot #Cameroon #Cameroonian #kotokoβœŠπŸ½πŸ‡¨πŸ‡²πŸŒ
