That’s a wrap on OPROSTI!
A short film by @dorabaotic
I was a Gaffer and Steadicam Operator on this one for @lovro_kranjcevic
We shot 4 days over the course of 5 days (we got kicked out of the location for one day due to a Holiday lol)
The film was taking place inside a photography gallery, so we had to light everything very High Key.
We first put duvetyne over a big window we had on the ceiling.
Then we used 650w fresnels to make spotlights on the pictures at the gallery, and we shot a 575w HMI through a window with some CTS and a 250 diffusion frame to give us a Daylight look and just fill up the room.
Later when it got interesting was the night scene. We put 1/2 CTB on our HMI and book lighted it through 250 diffusion again.
It was our only source and the results were epic!!
On our last day of shooting we had a company move to a different location. It was a bedroom scene where I wanted to shoot our HMI through a window, but mother nature had different plans...
It started pouring outside so hard that my team and I ended up getting soaking wet together with the equipment.
We broke it all down as fast possible, and thankfully none of the equipment died on us.
So then we had to figure out a solution, so we taped some flexmats to the window like we did on “F60.3” and that ended up becoming our daylight lol.
You can see more of that mess on my Story Highlight titled “Oprosti”
For the last shot of the film, the Director wanted a slow Steadicam push in.
I used a @tiffencompany Steadicam SK rig.
I flew a @sonycine FS7 with @samyanglensglobal Cine Primes, my 1st AC pulled focus with the @pdmovie_uk REMOTE AIR 4 and we transmitted a live feed for him and the Director using my new @Hollylandtech Mars 300!
I’ve been doing more and more Steadicam lately, and I gotta say I’ve been really enjoying it.
You guys know how much I love my @Glidecam and I’ve been using that for years now.
But I really wanna get into more serious Steadicam Operating. I’ve already been looking at some rigs!
Lastly I wanna thank the entire crew who once again kicked ass and just blew me away as usual!
Can’t wait for our next project
