It’s hard to leave this place... 10 days wasn’t enough for all there was to explore here.
Things we learned 🔸”It’s the Aloha way” locals are happy and friendly because they have been raised in the spirit of Aloha, the spirit that seeks to find good in everyone, whether one is a friend or a stranger. 🥰
🔸The Hula Dance is in a way their Genealogy! They use the mele to tell of their island's history, culture, and ancient ceremonies as a way to orally pass down their traditions from one generation to the next. I believe they don’t have written genealogy but they have the Hula. Really really neat!
🔸Weather from the Pacific first hits the North shore of Kauai and then hits the other islands of Hawaii. The weather is constantly changing throughout the day, more than any other Hawaiian Island. It takes it all first. 🔸Wake up early to avoid afternoon cloud cover if you’re going to an overlook. 🔸Chickens and Roosters are allowed in anywhere just like we are. 😂
🔸And as always tread lightly, very lighly...it’s a very sacred land, in more reasons than we know.
Mahalo & Aloha!
