Last week I was working on a very special project. I was on mission in NYC with leaders and high school students from my church, @parkwayhills Our students facilitated a day camp for kids in Brooklyn alongside a local organization, Graffiti 3. I am so proud of our team’s compassion, dedication, and willingness to love kids who are not only different than them, but really challenging at times.
And guess what I got to do all week? Yep. I was in my favorite spot—behind the camera. It was my pleasure to document this trip and all the special people we met in Brooklyn.
Now that we’re home, I’m writing stories to go along with the photos. And starting today, Parkway Hills will begin a three-part series to share some highlights. Follow their account to learn more about this team’s ministry and adventures (full stories will be on their Facebook page because they go beyond Instagram’s character limit!).
Of course, we could never use enough words to account for the memories, meaning and mission of this trip. What an honor to serve with such selfless, young Christ followers. The next generation is full of hope, mercy and love, and I can’t wait to see them set the world on fire!
