She’s a singer, songwriter, musician and children’s author who rose fame in the early 70s with hits like “You’re So Vain”, “Mockingbird”, “Jesse” and “Nobody Does It Better”. She has recorded 23 studio albums and has won 2 Grammys, 1 Academy Award and 1 Golden Globe, she also was inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 1994 and is recognized as one of the essentials singers and songwriters of the 70s. 🥁1963: George Michael was born in Goring-On-Thames, Oxfordshire, England. Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou (real name) was a singer, songwriter, record producer and philanthropist, who rose fame as a member of Wham! in the 80s and 90s with hits like “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”, “Club Tropicana” and “Last Christmas”. When Wham broke up in 1986, Michael began a successful solo career with hits like “Careless Whisper”, “Faith”, “Freedom” and “One More Try”. He recorded 3 studio albums with Wham!, 5 studio albums as a solo artist and won 2 Grammys. He has sold over 115 million records worldwide, making him one of the best selling artists of all times. Michael passed away in 2016 from dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and a fatty liver, he was 53 years old.
